PTA EVENTS
The PTA organizes events throughout the school year. We try to balance events that raise money, and events that simply enrich our community.
Below are details of the events that parent volunteers typically organize each year. Exact dates for this year’s events are in the Konstella Calendar.
Movie Nights
Outdoor movie screenings in the Big Yard.
Ticketed events for all the family.
Held twice a year in Autumn and Spring (usually September and May).
Fall Festival
Weekend fun with crafts, games, bounce houses, food, music and more.
Ticketed event for all the family.
Usually in October.
A big event, heavily dependent on the voluntary efforts of our whole community.
Stoop Crawl
Traveling ‘Eat and Greet' hosted at families' homes throughout the school zone.
Ticketed event for adults.
Usually in October.
Reliant on the warm hospitality of host families.
Sports games
Group outings to cheer on local teams such as the Brooklyn Nets, New York Liberty and Brooklyn Cyclones.
Events for all the family, with a percentage of ticket sale proceeds going to the PTA.
Held throughout the year.
Craft Fair
Winter market in the Big Yard with hand-crafted goods from people you know and love, as well as baked goods, hot apple cider, face painting, kids' craft corner, music and more.
Usually in December.
Teacher Holiday Potluck
Festive, pre-holiday potluck; by families, for our teachers and staff.
Held in late December.
Heritage Day
Event celebrating the multitude of home states and countries of PS 107 families.
Free weekend event for all the family.

Summer Camp Auction
Bid online for places and discounts at your favorite camps while raising money for our school.
Usually in February.
Read-a-thon
Three weeks of students challenging themselves while raising money for our school.
Usually in March.
STEM Day
Event with hands-on activities celebrating all things STEM (science, technology, engineering and math).
Free weekend event for all the family.
Usually in March.
Spring Auction & Gala
Auction and gala with fantastic items to be won, music, food, drinks and more.
Ticketed, evening event for adults, with activities for students in the lead-up to the event.
Usually in April.
Our biggest fundraiser of the year.
Art Day
A weekend afternoon of creative fun in the Big Yard, where students dive into different art techniques and workshops.
Free event for all the family.

Teacher Appreciation Week and Potluck
A weeklong celebration of our teachers, culminating in a potluck provided by our families.

Spring Fling
An evening of dancing and fun in the Big Yard.
Ticketed event for all the family.
Usually in June.
Big Yard Games
Fun games in the Big Yard.
Event for students during the school day.

Welcome events for new families
There are several opportunities for our new families to get to know the school and the community. These include a picnic in the park for incoming kindergarten and pre-K students, and welcome breakfasts.

Local retail fundraisers
We sometimes collaborate with local businesses to raise funds for the school. Ongoing partnerships include our annual Book Fair with powerHouse on 8th.
There are also events organized by various PTA Committees, such as the Community Outreach Committee and the AAPI Committee.
Scholarships are available for families who require financial assistance to attend ticketed events. All requests for financial assistance are treated in confidence.
